Meet Kyle Bennett, the creative mind and dynamic force behind Motion Design Services. Coming from Canada, Kyle's journey is a remarkable testament to the fusion of curiosity, hands-on experience, and an unwavering passion for mechanical design.

Early Life and Education:

Kyle's love affair with mechanics and design was apparent from a young age. Growing up as a farm kid and a bike mechanic, he was exposed to mechanical assemblies and equipment both big and small along with the intricacies of making things work efficiently.

Kyle started his academic dreams at the Okanagan College in Kelowna BC, where he earned a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology. With hunger for more, he went on to receive Deans Honor in a Bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia Okanagan.

Early Career:

Kyle's professional journey began at the age of 17 when he started working for Lehder Environmental and later at Emissions Test Group, both companies specializing in smoke stack sampling, monitoring air pollution in industries across western Canada.

This early exposure to consulting services required intellect and physical strength. Teamwork alongside science graduates, engineers, technologists and skilled trades would involve complex procedures, mobilizing and operating heavy yet delicate instrumentation and working at considerable heights under extreme weather conditions.

The Quest for Knowledge:

Kyle’s desire to dive deeper into the world of design and manufacturing led him to Crown West Steel Fabricators, where he performed quality assurance on metal fabrication for industries like oil and gas, forestry, and trucking during a co-op position.

Kyle's thirst for knowledge was unquenchable. He spent two summer co-ops at Harmac Pacific, a pulp mill, taking on substantial maintenance projects, thus adding valuable experience to his toolkit.

Professional Growth:

Kyle's professional voyage continued with a position at Westpro Machinery, an OEM of mineral processing, aggregate and waste water equipment, where he started as a Junior Mechanical Designer (EIT). His responsibilities included leading the mechanical design for projects spanning five continents, and he played a pivotal role in developing the base designs for 3 new product lines.

Kyle’s sharp skills and ability to play well with others lead to his involvement in supporting nearly every team in the company, travelling between offices, manufacturing facilities, vendors and customer locations to manage the successful installation and commissioning of equipment.

Innovation and California:

Kyle's penchant for innovation and adventure found a perfect synergy during his return to the bike industry and tenure at Praxis Works, a bike part manufacturer in Santa Cruz, California. His prior experience as a bike mechanic combined with his design expertise and creative mind for mechanism design led to the development of three new US patents.
